Leanne Thompson – Head Swimming Coach

Leanne graduated from the University of Otago, New Zealand, with a Bachelor of Physical Education, majoring in Exercise and Sport Science, and holds an SCTA Advanced Silver Coaching Licence.

Leanne has over 20 years of coaching experience in New Zealand and Australia, including as a team coach on New Zealand and NSW Age Group teams. She has coached swimmers to National Age medals, as well as placing swimmers on NZ Age Group teams and NSW Junior Sharks squads.

Cameron Ellicott – Assistant Head Swimming Coach

Cameron has a Bachelor of Sports Coaching and Administration and an SCTA Advanced Silver Coaching Licence. He is a well-established coach in NSW swimming, having worked as head and assistant head coach of several NSW swimming clubs.

Cameron has coached swimmers to numerous NSW State titles, as well as coaching a swimmer to an Australian National Age title. Throughout his coaching career, Cameron has guided several representative teams, including the NSW Performance Squad, NSW ETS Squad and NSW Junior Sharks.

Bailey Newham – Development Swimming Coach/Strength and Conditioning Coach

As a former competitive swimmer and holding a SCTA Foundation Coaching Licence, Bailey brings a wealth of knowledge and swimming experience to his role as Development Squad Coach, working with our Development and Junior Squads.

Bailey, who holds a Certificate IV in fitness, also looks after strength and conditioning for our Intermediate and Senior Squad swimmers. Bailey is in his final year of university, working towards a Bachelor of Sport and Exercise Science, and has been accepted to start a Master in Exercise Physiology.
