NSW Senior State Age Championships – Coaches Report

The NSW Senior State Age Championships were held over seven days between 10-16 December, a team of 19 Ravenswood Swimming Club members participated in the championships.

The championship is structure with heats in the morning and finals in the evening. Ravenswood Swimming Club were represented at every heats session and every finals session with either an individual or relay swim.

Our team performed very well and improved in numerous areas compared with the championships held in January this year.

A brief summary of the meet; 2 Silver Medals, 6 Finals appearances, 4 finals reserves, 5 relay teams, 60% personal best conversion, 4 national qualifying times and 3 new national qualifiers.

The coaching team were very impressed by all the performances throughout the week and want to congratulate all members. The execution of race plans and the ability to continue to swim faster, event after event or heat into final was exceptional. This shows your training has prepared you mentally and physically to perform at this level.
